French variety cabaret troupe L’ effeur des sens takes on a sensual and tantalizing dance repertoire that has been catching to Hollywood like wild fire. Cati Jean, director and choreographer, casted 9 strong dancers from around the world, who not only dance, but do aerial acts as well.
L' effeur not only captures the essence of the age old strip tease acts, but they infuse classic and beautiful technique that highlights female empowerment, into an entertaining and powerful dance show. This troupe was founded by a female who saw an incredible vision of sensuality and sharp, fresh movement with a European twist!
L’ effeur des sens is now on residency with King King in Hollywood and has an ever-growing fan base. They have worked with several celebrities and have been featured in many magazines and television casts.
They have worked with celebrities from Jessica Biel to Kate Hudson and have been featured in Dance Magazine among many other high profile publications. L' effleur was asked to open up for Christina Aguilera and the Pussycat Dolls and have graced many high profile after parties as well as many tv and news spots.
L’ effleur des sens puts on an original cabaret act that shows a more developed dance technique with clean lines and jazzy sensuous themes. Their show was utterly entertaining and quite unique! From classic cabaret numbers to pieces on par to a highly developed Cirque act; these dancers pulled out all the stops.
The L' effleur dancers have all had experiance and great success in the dance world prior to L' effleur des sens. Each one of them have performed for a wide variety of audiences all over the world and continue to enjoy entertaining audiences in Hollywood, California at various gigs and at the King King club.
The choreography of Cati Jean showed that she came from a strong dance background, the lighting was spectacular, and the costumes were sensuous and fun. Each dancer really performed with a style of their own within the confines of the choreography.
Each number was developed and refined by Cati and she continues to add new and exciting pieces to the repertoire. The playful costuming and lighting are only a glimpse into the magnetic ambiance of this cabaret dance troupe.
The pop culture of today has quite a warm heart for the revamped strip tease troups that have been popping up all over the world in the last decade. L' effleur is a cut above the rest in their realm and they sit at the top of their spectrum!
L’ effeur des sens is one must see troupe. See them again in 2009 for the new year! This may be the last period of time they are at a smaller scale venue so see them while they’re fresh!
