Laurie Ann Gibson
A hip hop choreographer to the stars including P. Diddy, Alicia Keys, Mario, Hillary Duff, Clay Aiken, Mary J. Blige, Brandy, Dido and JoJo. She was featured as a “fly girl” in the comedy show “In Living Color” along with Jennifer Lopez and also was featured as a dancer in films such as “Malcom X” and “Sing”.
As a trained dancer under the instruction of the Alvin Ailey School of Dance, Laurie Ann went on to serve as Director of Choreography for Motown and Bad Boy Records. She now continues to act as a Consultant for Artist Development.
Her choreography appears in current day videos and movies such as “Honey” with Jessica Alba. She not only choreographed the film, but played the role of “Katrina” – Honey’s nemesis – as well. Gibson was featured on the MTV series “Making the Band” with P.Diddy and Danity Kane. She has been working with Diddy for quite awhile and on several projects.
Gibson also recently released an instructional street dance DVD/VHS series called Breakin’ it Down with Laurie Ann Gibson featuring Alicia Keys. She breaks down the basics of her hip hop choreography for everyone to learn.
Through her devotion, unique dance style, and unmatched skill she has had the opportunities to work with the biggest stars of the music industry. Laurie Ann is currently a working choreographer with a lot of promise ahead of her in the hip hop industry.
