L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (LACDC) presents “Fight or Flight”

L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (LACDC) presents
“Fight or Flight”
A dance concert exploring the instincts that drive us to action

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

L.A. CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY IS ENCOURAGING YOU TO GO WITH YOUR GUT AND ACT FAST WITH PERFORMANCES ONLY TWO WEEKS AWAY!

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, December 1, 2009 – The world premiere of work by choreographers Scott Hislop, Kate Hutter, and Adam Parson will hit the stage on December 11, bringing to life their dynamic and physically enthralling movement and capturing the voice and vision behind L.A. Contemporary Dance Company's 8th repertory concert "Fight or Flight.” Each piece in the concert grapples with what it is to be faced with a challenge, a choice or even a threat, and what occurs when you go with our gut. The choreographers examine a myriad of characters in their work from tight-laced, pre-revolutionary French society to women of the third world or average American teenagers bored to tears by their own existence. The choreography ranges from the fast-paced, adrenaline pumping modern jazz movement of Adam Parson to the lyrical, sweeping and interweaving group work of Scott Hislop, and finally the quirky and comedic contemporary movement of Kate Hutter.
