I was just wondering if you had any tips on what to expect at competitive dance auditions at a studio?
Hello Crazy4Dance -
Thanks for your inquiry! Anything goes at a dance audition. Bring all styles of dance shoes (heels if you're a female as well) - knee pads.. and make sure you are quick at picking up choreography under pressure.
Make certain your dance outfit is versatile so you can go from musical theatre to a sassy jazz number and look the part. Be confident, be studious and likeable to all that cross your path - if your technique is up to par you will stand out.
Be sure to interpret choreography exactly as shown - just breathe life and believability into it. Find your center and focus - you got this!
